Frozen Crossroads

Frozen still at a crossroads

The sun in the distance

You know what I mean

My heart is breaking slowly

Tears fall from my face

But I can’t move

Breath escapes my chest

Here, time has no name

And the branches in the treetops

Sway only to the beat of the rain

And still, I stand still

Staring at a multitude of pain

Waiting for my courage to come

And the frozen wind blows.
